Flight #40
10 October 1998 • Webberville, MI • Hang I - Beginner
One of my rowdiest tows ever. Had a little lift and a little sink too. Patchy clouds left enchanting shadows on the ground - reminded me of the end of "The Secret Garden". I made a huge mistake by being too far from the airport in heavy sink. I landed across the other side of the road and I flew UNDER the power lines. VERY stupid. I should have circled back and landed in the field across the street... I learned an EXTREMELY valuable lesson without having to pay a huge price for it.
