Flight #147

20 June 2026 • Dockweiler • Hang II - Novice

My 55th day of flying at Dockweiler. Had 6 flights in total. That puts me at about 472+ flights at the beach and about 499+ foot launch flights in total. I flew my stunt harness from Adrenalin Dreams on my North Wing EZ2. Conditions were fantastic. Definitely the highest wind I've ever flown my NorthWing in. The winds were just slightly cross from the right too, which was nice, to force a little correction. I was intending to do about 10 flights, but I only managed to do about half of that. My first 4 flights went great. On my 5th flight, I got a charlie horse in my right calf, as I was doing my launch run. At the bottom of the hill and walking up, I felt fine. So, I launched again. On the 6th flight, it hurt really bad and I almost couldn't launch properly. That was when I decided to stop, so I didn't really injure myself. But, all 6 flights went great. I did bend both of my #5 battens because on my first flight, I stupidly tried to turn off my camera at the bottom of the hill in the wind, and I flipped the glider. The rest of the flights, I moved into the upwind separation bubble to turn the camera off.
